This one-day soldering intensive, taught by gold smith Dan Valencia, will give you the confidence to solder the right way, every time. Seating is extremely limited with only 6 students per session. Each student will have a dedicated soldering station for the duration of the workshop. In this workshop you will learn how to solder sterling silver in addition to the professional way to protect silver and stones and multiple soldering techniques, including pick soldering. Students learn the reason behind soldering styles and metallurgy, as well as proper torch safety and layout and set-up technique.
While primarily a technique class, students will make a chain in sterling silver by the end of the class. Each student will have their own dedicated soldering bench, getting in the repetition needed to solder like a professional.
Class is Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 9A to 5P. Students should arrive with packed lunch.
