This one-day soldering intensive, taught by goldsmith Dan Valencia, will give students the confidence to solder the right way, every time. Seating is extremely limited with only 6 students per session. Each student will have a dedicated soldering station for the duration of the workshop. In this workshop students will learn how to solder sterling silver the professional way to protect silver and stones, and multiple soldering techniques, including pick soldering. Students learn the reason behind soldering styles and metallurgy, as well as proper torch safety, layout, and set-up technique.
While primarily a technique class, students will make a chain in sterling silver by the end of the class.
Class is Monday, August 17, 2026 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Students should arrive with packed lunch.
